Primary Schools Outreach Programme

WWII KS2 Outreach Workshop
Our brand new workshop will complement your WWII topic and make learning about Britain during WWII fun and engaging. Focusing on the timeline of war and the Home Front, students will use skills such as teamwork, decision making, investigating, exploration and role play.
This 1.5hr stand-alone workshop works well as an introduction to the Battle of Britain and discounts for booking Bentley Priory Museum workshops are available.

Assemblies:
We are now taking bookings for FREE KS1 & 2 assemblies. Each is approximately 20 mins long featuring audio/visuals.

Battle of Britain Assembly – Available all year
Since rampaging his way through mainland Europe, Hitler had his sights set firmly on his next target: Britain!
This assembly will explore how Bentley Priory was pivotal in winning this very first air battle. It will also explain why we commemorate the Battle of Britain annually on September 15th.
This is a stand alone assembly, but works well alongside all our Museum workshops and outreach workshop.

Remembrance Assembly – Available during Autumn term
We are all custodians of Remembrance, but what is Remembrance?
This assembly will explore why Remembrance is still relevant today and together we will take part in the ‘Ceremony of Remembrance’. This assembly will also tell the story of an RAF Fighter Pilot, giving the students a focus for their Remembrance.
This is a stand alone assembly, but works well alongside all our Museum workshops and outreach workshop.

For more information about our assemblies, please contact Niki Goorney or call 020 8950 5526
