Easter Holidays: RNLI 200 Stained Glass Windows

Create your own stained glass window to take home and add to our commemorative window marking the 200th anniversary of the RNLI and their role in rescuing Battle of Britain aircrew. 

Friday 29 March – Saturday 13 April, all day.
Museum Open Days – Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays + Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Included in Admission or Membership.

Saturday Scramble Club

Free family craft activities every Saturday for children of all ages.

Museum Admission or Annual Membership required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Explorer Kit Bags & Bunker Backpacks

Kitbags: Suitable for children aged 6+.
Explore the Museum with our Fighter Command Kitbags. 

Bunker Backpacks: Suitable for children aged 5 and under.
Explore shelter building and survival with your little one.

Kitbags and backpacks can be borrowed from Reception on arrival.
An adult’s ID card is requested as a deposit to check out a kitbag or backpack.

Family Trails

We have free family friendly trails available to support your exploration of Bentley Priory Museum.

They are available all year round from Reception on your arrival, or alternatively you can download them before you visit:

History Trail | Indoor Animal Trail | Garden Animal Trail | Botanical Bentley Trail.

Interactive Exhibits & Historical Costumes

Bring Bentley Priory’s history to life with our interactive exhibits and historical costumes – take a seat in a life-size, replica Spitfire cockpit, try your hand at aircraft recognition and dress up as some of Bentley Priory’s residents over time with our beautiful hand-made costumes.

Story Zone

An area for families to quietly (or noisily!) read books together in comfy seating and beanbags.

Family Facilities

Baby changing facilities are available in the ladies and the unisex accessible toilets situated near the café.

Our friendly café offers a selection of child-friendly food and staff are happy to warm bottles or baby food. Breastfeeding is welcome throughout the Museum. Highchairs are available.

The Museum is fully pushchair/wheelchair accessible.

Our nearest Changing Places Toilet is at South Oxhey Leisure Centre, WD19 7AX; 020 8428 4954.

Admission for children aged 5 and under is free.

FAMILIES: Enjoy 10% off all tickets when you book for 1 or more children.

Audio Tour for Children

A recorded Audio-Described Tour (voiced by Horrible Histories actor Ben Willbond) supports exploration of our galleries for all children, including children who are blind or partially sighted.

Audio Tours can be borrow for FREE from Reception, with headphones provided.
