October Half-Term: Remembrance Activities

31 October at 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Create a commemorative wreath and poppies as part of our Remembrance Activities . Supported by the Harrow Arts Society. Please Note: These activities will run over two weeks to accommodate different half-term dates locally. Activities are included in admission to the Museum and are available between Saturday 20th October - Saturday 3rd November 2018, 11am - 3pm.

Friday Morning Talks: ‘The Royal Air Force Today’

9 November at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for a talk from the RAF Presentation Team, who will share stories from their own personal operational experience, as well as highly engaging and dramatic video footage, depicting the modern RAF’s contribution to air power, the defence of the UK and giving the nation choice in times of global crisis. Beyond The Trenches: WW1 Remembrance Concert

10 November at 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

A concert from Tonic Choir, featuring WWI period songs, plus special ones written for the event. Please note: Access to the Museum on this day will only be for concert ticket holders.  Tickets will be available on our website from Monday 24th September. Limited tickets available for each performance. Harrow Apollo Male Choir Festive Concert

9 December at 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

We will be welcoming back Harrow Apollo Male Choir on Sunday 9th December for their annual Festive Concert at the Museum. Harrow Apollo Male Choir will perform festive favourites in the Museum’s spectacular ballroom. Tickets will be available on our website from Monday 22nd October. Tickets include mince pie and mulled wine/juice at the interval. Friday Morning Talks: ‘The Battle of Britain Lace Panel: Then and Now’

Join us for a talk from Dr. Carol Quarini, tying in with our temporary exhibition exploring Carol's artistic response to the Battle of Britain lace panel. The temporary exhibition runs from Saturday 17th November 2018 - Saturday 30th March 2019 and will include 1497 parachutes made by visitors to the Museum commemorating RAF aircrew killed in World War II. Friday Morning Talks: ‘Women Pilots of the Second World War’
