DESCRIPTION:Join us for a talk from Aldon Ferguson\, who\, in this timely lecture to commemorate the 75th anniversary\, will explore with us the history of D-Day\, 6th June 1944. \nBy Aldon Ferguson FRICS\, MRAeS \nAbout Aldon Ferguson \nAldon’s love of all things aviation and related buildings led to him becoming one of the leading experts in military aviation history. He was a founder member of the Airfield Research Group and has featured in many TV programmes. He is the archivist and author of the history of No 611 (Fighter) Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force and has written many books and magazine articles on RAF History. \nWorking with the RAF and approved by the Air Historical Branch (RAF)\, he is now recording RAF bases in great detail so that their architecture and military activities can be archived forever with English Heritage\, RAF Museum and County Record Offices for generations to come. \nIncluded in Museum admission\, Annual Membership\, or £5 donation. \nReserve Your Place \n \n
