SUMMARY:FULLY BOOKED: Friday Morning Talks: Codebreaking Outstations - Eastcote to GCHQ
DESCRIPTION:Join us for another Friday Morning Talk! \nWe will explore the development of codebreaking outstations which supported Bletchley Park during the Second World War\, including local stations at Stanmore and Eastcote. \nOur speaker\, Ronald Koorm\, will share with us how the Nazi Enigma code machine was developed and how the Allies approached cracking the code. \nWe will also discover the important role played by women\, including the WRNS\, who made an enormous contribution to codebreaking and support duties – in fact\, 75% of personnel at Bletchley Park were women. \nWe will then explore Eastcote’s post-war history and its development into GCHQ. \nBy Ronald Koorm \nIncluded in Museum admission or Annual Membership. \nReserve Your Place
