DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be taking part in this year’s Bushey Festival! \nJoin us for a special Museum tour\, Bentley Priory: From Where The Battle of Britain Was Won \nThis tour is available at 11.00am on Saturday 04th July 2026 and Friday 10th July 2026. The tours will start promptly at that time\, so please arrive 15 minutes in advance to check in at reception. The tour is bookable for children\, but is aimed at an adult audience. \nTour Duration: approx. 1 hour. \nThe Museum galleries\, gardens\, temporary exhibition\, shop and café will be available to visit following your tour. The Museum closes at 5pm. \nTicket information \nAdult: £8.50 \nChild (aged 6 to 16): £5.00 \nAccompanying Carers / 5 and under: Free \nWe are currently refreshing our website\, so we are unable to take online payments. SUMMARY:Dowding System Day 2026
DESCRIPTION:Bentley Priory Museum is pleased to be once again hosting its annual Dowding System Day of talks. \nOur guest speakers and talks this year are: \n \nGp Capt (Rtd) Tim Willbond OBE  – The Big Wing Controversy \nTim is the President of The Association of Royal Air Force Fighter Control Officers and is a great friend of the Museum\, having served at RAF Bentley Priory during his career. \n  \n  \n \nDr Dan Ellin – Flying Stress and Lack of Moral Fibre \nDan is a historian and archivist for the International Bomber Command Centre Digital Archive. \n  \n  \n  \n \nDr Victoria Taylor – ‘Taken Off’: Psychological Health in the Luftwaffe during the Second World War \nVictoria is an award-winning aviation historian\, broadcaster\, lecturer and writer. Author of the critically acclaimed  book ‘Eagle Days – Life and Death for the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain‘\, \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nThe doors will open at 10am with the galleries available to view before and after the talks until 4pm. Please note that the Museum will be open to Dowding System Day ticket holders only on this day. \nThe talks will take place in the Operations Room and will run from 11am -1pm and 2pm – 3pm\, with a break for lunch from 1pm-2pm. \nOur café will be open before the talks\, during the lunch break and after for snacks and drinks. \nTicket information \n \nWith thanks to the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund\, we’re able to offer great value tickets for the day at only £6.00 per person. \n  \n  \n  \nWe are currently refreshing our website\, so we are unable to take online payments. DESCRIPTION:Tonic Choir returns to Bentley Priory Museum for an afternoon programme of serenades to transport you to a moonlit Summer evening. \nPlease note that the Museum is open for general admission from 10am – 2pm (last admission at 1pm).
