Friday Morning Talks: Forgotten Histories of the Battle of Britain House

November 26, 2021 at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for our next Friday Morning Talk, by Evan Panagopoulos, Tour Guide and Freelance Researcher!

Evan will talk about the surprising history of the mansion formerly known as Battle of Britain House, whose ruins lie forgotten inside Ruislip Woods.

From humble beginnings as a farmstead, the House became a pioneering wellness centre, and was then transformed into a lavish millionaire mansion, before it was utilized as secret training facility during WW2, where agents trained to participate in highly classified missions inside Nazi Germany in the dramatic final stages of the war. Evan will present his collection of books, photos, pamphlets and other rare surviving items related to the Battle of Britain House.
