SUMMARY:Touring Exhibition: Benares Baaj. Journey of a Musical Tradition
DESCRIPTION:This free touring exhibition explores the Benares Baaj style of tabla playing. Originating in Benares\, in India\, this style of tabla is now taught and played across the world\, including in Harrow where Bentley Priory Museum is located. \nExhibition highlights include a multi-media tabla installation\, rare film footage of some of India’s great tabla artists\, oral history film interviews and an interactive to enable you to take your first tabla lesson! \nThe exhibition will be on display at Bentley Priory Museum from Saturday 9 May to Saturday 6 June. \nFor more details about the exhibition and the launch at Bentley Priory Museum on Saturday 9 May\, download the Benares Baaj Exhibition Leaflet. \n* Admission to the Benares Baaj exhibition is free. Admission charges remain for entry to all other exhibition galleries at Bentley Priory Museum.
