During the long summer of 1940, the effectiveness and survival of Fighter Command depended on radar’s early warning of approaching enemy raids.

Based on research from original WWII Air Ministry & RAF documents, this talk will provide an overview of radar, the demanding work of its operators and how the information produced was used by Fighter Command to intercept the Luftwaffe.
