Volunteer Open Day
The Museum is holding a Volunteer Open Day on Tuesday 11th February for prospective volunteers to come along, meet our volunteer team and discover how you can get involved! Click here for more information.
The next deadline to apply to join our volunteer team is Friday 15th February 2020.
Please note: Successful applicants will be required to attend an induction and training session on Thursday 5th March 2020.
Our Reception Volunteers are the first point of contact for Museum visitors, welcoming them to the Museum. Roles on Reception include admission tickets and shop sales. Training is provided on our user-friendly touch-screen till.
Room Stewards are invaluable in supporting interpretation in our exhibition galleries, from highlighting interesting artefacts to listening to visitor stories about Bentley Priory.
Our Hospitality volunteers support the Museum through serving drinks, light lunches and afternoon teas in our welcoming vintage Cafe.
Learning volunteers support our term-time school visits and our family activities during the school holidays, from arts and crafts to object handling.
Our Volunteer Guides offer an engaging tour around the Museum, lasting between 45-60 minutes.
Our formal Italian Garden offers a particularly peaceful place for volunteering. Our volunteering gardening session is run on a drop-in basis, once a week.
