“The Pilot School has been fantastic! My children have thoroughly enjoyed the activities.”
Family visit, August 2018
Family Activities Update: Following government guidance around operating safely during coronavirus, when Bentley Priory Museum reopens on Saturday 18th July 2020 we will do so with an amended family offer.
Upcoming Holiday Activities:
From Saturday 18th July: We will have a socially distanced set-up in our Learning Centre providing a fun craft activity for visitors to enjoy with their family group (single-use/disposable materials and resources will be provided).
Explorer Kit Bags – temporarily removed
The kit bags include activities to make and do whilst exploring the museum, and each tells a different story of a Battle of Britain pilot or World War II WAAF. Each kit bag is different so friends and siblings can explore more than one story.
Family Trails – available without clipboard and a free pencil to keep
They are available all year round from Reception on your arrival, or alternatively you can download them before you visit:
Interactive Exhibits – available and cleaned between each use
Bring Bentley Priory’s RAF History to life with our interactive exhibits – take a seat in a life-size, replica Spitfire cockpit and try your hand at aircraft recognition as a member of the Observer Corps.
Historical Costumes – temporarily removed
Our friendly café offers a selection of child-friendly food and staff are happy to warm bottles or baby food. Breastfeeding is welcome throughout the Museum. Highchairs are available.
The Museum is fully pushchair accessible.
A combination of family tickets and annual memberships for families with 1 or 2 adults and up to 3 children are available. See Admission Charges for more information.
