“The Pilot School has been fantastic! My children have thoroughly enjoyed the activities.”
Family visit, August 2018
The Museum is open and will be offering a NEW family activity for the Summer Holidays.
Please note: we have made some amendments to our day-to-day family offer. More details can be found below. Families can still enjoy our Museum and Garden trails, and our Spitfire cockpit!
Summer Holidays 2021:
Operation Secret Garden: Put your spy skills to the test and join us for some code breaking fun!
Available all day on Museum open days between Saturday 10 July – Saturday 4 September 2021. Find out more here.
Explorer Kit Bags – temporarily removed
The kit bags include activities to make and do whilst exploring the museum, and each tells a different story of a Battle of Britain pilot or World War II WAAF. Each kit bag is different so friends and siblings can explore more than one story.
Family Trails – available without clipboard and a free pencil to keep
They are available all year round from Reception on your arrival, or alternatively you can download them before you visit:
Interactive Exhibits – Cockpit available and cleaned between each use
Bring Bentley Priory’s RAF History to life with our interactive exhibits – take a seat in a life-size, replica Spitfire cockpit and try your hand at aircraft recognition as a member of the Observer Corps.
Historical Costumes – temporarily removed
Our friendly café offers a selection of child-friendly food and staff are happy to warm bottles or baby food. Breastfeeding is welcome throughout the Museum. Highchairs are available.
The Museum is fully pushchair accessible.
A combination of family tickets and annual memberships for families with 1 or 2 adults and up to 3 children are available. See Admission Charges for more information.
