Friday Morning Talks: A Cold War Navigator in Bomber Command

May 3, 2019 at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for a talk from navigator Captain Arthur Creighton, who will share with us his experiences in Bomber Command during the Cold War.

After training as a navigator in the Royal Air Force, Creighton went on tour on Canberras in No. 1 Group Bomber Command. Subsequent training on H2S led to a tour on Strategic Reconnaissance Valiants of No. 3 Group Bomber Command, covering the period of the Cuban Missile crisis. When the Valiants were withdrawn, Creighton left Bomber Command and joined the staff of the College of Air Warfare.
