Friday Morning Talks: Painting our Heroes

As part of his exciting Artist in Residency week at Bentley Priory Museum, professional aviation artist Mark Postlethwaite GAvA will be giving a talk covering his thirty years of painting aircraft.

During this time, Mark has flown in a variety of front line fast-jets as well as vintage aircraft such as the Fe2b and the Fieseler Storch. He has also been lucky enough to work with some of the most legendary veterans of WWII as well as most front line RAF Squadrons.

His work hangs in museums and private collections worldwide and has appeared on over 150 book covers for Osprey Publishing.

Mark will talk about some of the highlights and funny stories from those thirty years and demonstrate his approach to painting.
