Friday Morning Talks: ‘The Battle of Britain and an Unexpected Hero’

October 28, 2016 at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for another Friday morning talk. This one is the story of Battle of Britain ace, Bob Doe.

By Dr Helen Doe.

The men who flew in the Battle of Britain between July and October 1940 are often stereotyped as being from a British upper class elite. This is far from the truth and Helen will reveal the ordinary background and amazing achievements of Bob Doe. Bob was an unqualified gardener’s son from a Surrey village who became one of the great aces of that Battle.

Included in Museum admission, or £3 donation.
